On a day of remembering the 9/11 attacks in the U.S., we are celebrating Independence Day in Nicaragua. Nicaragua gained independence from Spain in September of 1821. To celebrate at NCA our students prepare presentations that they give to parents and other students throughout the day. The celebration culminates in a program with many of our students and teachers preforming dances in traditional clothes to Nicaraguan folk songs.
