Dear family and friends,

Today is an information update and correction:

Correction:

In our last update I listed "Ada Bible Church" as the church we would visit on July 12.

This is incorrect.  We are visiting Ada Christian Reformed Church on July 12.

Their service begins at 9:30 am.  Following the service, we will be sharing our power point presentation.

Update:

Peace CRC will host us on August 2.  Their service begins at 9:30 am.  At 11:00 am we will be sharing our power point presentation.  Following the presentation will be a potluck lunch.  If you would like to attend the lunch, please let us know so that we can let the Peace church fellowship committee know how many to plan for.   Thank you!

Park play date and open house:

On Tuesday, July 21 we are planning a "park day" from 1:30 – 6:30.  This will be a very informal kind of "open house".  Our goal is to be available to connect with friends and supporters and to have fun!  The park location is still pending, but wanted to let you know about the date and time of this event.  We would love to see you there!

Prayer Request:

We found out this week that NCA's 3rd grade teacher will be unable to teach at NCA this school year due to her condo not being sold at this time.  We continue to pray for God to lead a buyer to her as she is known to be an excellent teacher.  She taught at NCAs summer camp and is passionate about her call to NCA.  This is particularly difficult for our family because she would have been Will's teacher.  So, we ask you to pray with us for God to intervene in this situation and to help us and Beth (the teacher) understand what God is doing.  Dan said that her story so reminds him of our own, so we empathize with her as she tries to make sense of her circumstances.

Kid's quote:

For the past few years, there are nights when Will says that he cannot sleep because He believes that God is calling him to do something, but he does not know what it is.  This happened again while we were in CA, and I said to him, "I'm learning that God doesn't always tell us exactly what He is calling us to, but we can trust that He will just keep showing us the next step and then the next step."  Will said, "Well, I'd really just like to know what is at the top of the staircase."  That is our Will – profound one minute and funny the next.

Peace to you,
Dan, Lisa (the writer), Rebekah, and Will
