Welcoming Daniel to our family! We brought all our documents to the adoption office yesterday at 3:00 pm and after they reviewed everything they were excited to let us know that we could have Daniel that day! So, we had the office finish the paperwork for us and then we drove to the orphanage with the adoption worker. We played with Daniel and the other kids for a short time before we loaded him up to head home. Before we left, Daniel said a tearful goodbye to those who have been taking care of him. He was 4 months old when he arrived at the orphanage and he had been there for just over 3 years.
Right now we are officially Daniel's foster parents, we still have several steps left to finalize the adoption with the Nicaraguan government and then we will move on to working on finalizing Daniel's adoption with the US government.
We are thankful to God that Daniel is now a part of our family. Thank you for all of your prayers! |
